Cobblestone is a type of construction unique to the Henrietta area. Most cobblestone houses were built in the 1830 to 1850s, with glacier deposited stones and native limestone for mortar, by masons who came to work on the Erie Canal and settled in Henrietta.
Andrew Bushman lived on Telephone Road.
"There are three cobblestones on this stretch of road. The Bushman House at #877 and the Andrew Bushman at #633 were built in 1830. Between them, and on the other side of the road at #830, is the Bullard house, built in 1832. Andrew Bushman built cobblestone houses for all five of his sons. The houses at #830 and #877 are the only ones still standing. He built #633 for himself. A descendent of the Bushman family lived in this house until last year."
