George Bushman Farm George Bushman Farm
1810-1893
is featured in the photo on the upper left side of this page. During the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 in Pennsylvania, the George Bushman farm was the site of the Twelfth Corps Civil War Hospital, treating 1131 Union and 125 rebel soldiers. Also, the Second Corps Civil War Hospital, that treated 3500 Union and 1000 rebel soldiers.
Lewis Bushman Farm
1833-1891
was south of the George Bushman Farm. The Lewis Bushman farm was the site of the Fifth Corps Civil War Hospital, that treated 1400 Union and 75 rebel soldiers.

Baladerry Inn Baladerry Inn in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
The oldest section of the Baladerry Inn was constructed in 1812 on the George Bushman Farm. The rest of the main house was added in 1830. The home was built as a tenant famer's house, and was later occupied by the son of George Bushman, Althedore Bushman. During the battle at Gettysburg, the Bushman Farm was an Army of the Potomac field hospital.

                   after him.
